Keenious plus – AI tool for article search
Keenious plus, an AI-based article search tool, has been purchased for SeAMK staff and students until the end of 2025.
With Keenious plus, you can search for scholarly articles related to the same topic, either based on your own text or someone else’s, or based on a PDF article. Traditional keyword searching is also possible. Keenious plus analyses the text and searches for similar articles. As a source, Keenious plus uses the OpenAlex database, which contains data from hundreds of millions of research articles.
Keenious plus is particularly useful for discovering new topics, multidisciplinary research and supporting academic writing. Keenious plus does not hallucinate but finds existing articles. It also does not save the data you enter and does not train the AI.
Keenious plus works both in the web browser and in Word and Google Docs. With the Keenious Research Explorer add-on, you can search for articles related to your selected text area while you write.
You can filter the search results by, for example, year of publication and citation count. The search result includes both open articles and articles behind the paywall. The Check SeAMK Access link allows you to immediately check whether the article behind the paywall is accessible through the e-journal packages purchased by the SeAMK Library. The Cross Language feature allows you to search for articles in several other languages, as well. You can also bookmark articles.
Activate your access to the SeAMK Keenious plus with the Microsoft login link below. Use your SeAMK email address to create an account. You will receive a confirmation email with a login code. After creating your account, Keenious Plus will be used at https://keenious.com. Once you are logged in to the tool, you can use all the features of Keenious plus.
We will publish a more detailed guide on how to use Keenious Plus. Keenious also organises monthly webinars in English on how to use the tool. These will be announced separately.
