Changes in opening hours in summer 2026

SEAMK Library’s summer hours began in early May. The library will be closed from June 19 to August 2, 2026. The unstaffed library will be unavailable from June 26 to July 26, 2026.

Opening hours 4.5.–17.6.2026

• library is open Mon–Fri 9 am – 4 pm.
• library is open for self-service between 9 and 10 am in the morning. Customer service opens at 10 am.
• SEAMK students and staff can use the library independently with their SEAMK access keys every day until 9 pm. Instructions for using the unstaffed library can be found in the Library User Guide(Opens in a new window)

Exceptions in hours during May–June

• on Wednesday May 13, library is open 9 am – 3 pm. Self-service 9 am – 10am. Unstaffed library accessible for students and staff until 9 pm.
• on Thursday May 14 – Wednesday 15, library is closed. Unstaffed library accessible for students and staff until 9 pm.
• on Thursday May 21, library is closed. Unstaffed library accessible for students and staff until 9 pm.
• on Thursday June 18, library is open 9 am – 3 pm. Self-service 9 am – 10am.

Longer loan periods because of the closure

Because the library is closed for a longer time, we are giving longer loan periods for books until Aug 12, 2026.

• The loan period for 4-week loans will be extended starting May 21
• The loan period for 2-week loans (textbooks) will be extended starting June 4

Please check the due dates of your loans and don’t forget to renew your loans before the library closes. There are no due dates during the time library is closed.  SEAMK staff’s loans will be automatically renewed by the system unless there are no requests on them.
