SEAMK Library 30 years – get ready for memories, events, and campaigns

This year, we are celebrating the 30th anniversary of the SEAMK Library: the official opening was held in March 1996, and the doors were opened to patrons in May.

Of course, we are still young, but we will be celebrating this anniversary throughout the year by remembering the old days and highlighting the history of the library in a fun way. And of course, we want our patrons to join in the celebrations!

The theme for the anniversary year is “A Glimpse of History”—memories, stories, objects, and photographs from different decades will be brought to light and published on social media and in newsletters. The celebrations will be visible in short social media posts, reading campaigns, and social events. The celebrations will culminate, of course, in a coffee party at the library on Thursday, March 26, 2026, from 1 to 3 p.m.
